6P and 3P of PVC

Since January 16, 2007, the newly published EU implementation standard of the 2005/84/EC phthalates will come into force to replace the uncertain temporary ban of limitations for phthalate in many countries currently. Now Europe and USA already totally ban toys containing PHTH. Also DEHP, DBP and BBP will be banned being used in all toys, PVC products related to children, and the other plastics. Equally, DINP, DIDP and DNOP will be banned being used in all toys which can put into children’s mouth and the products related to children, including all the toys and products related to children that could be put in all ages of children, as well as the products designed for 36 mouths’ children allow to be put into their mouth.

6P stands for DEHP, DBP, BBP, DINP, DIDP, and DNOP. Among them, DEHP, DBP, and BBP must be restricted to below 0.1% while using in all toys, which can be called as 3P; DINP, DIDP, and DNOP must be restricted to below 0.1% while using in the toys that can be put into mouth.
